Sky-Dweller by Sorapol

Sorapol is a young fashion house. Made by Sorapol Chawaphatnakul and Daniel Lismore, the brand launched their first collection “True Colours” for Spring/Summer 2012. Since this time, Sorapol has sky-rocketed to cult status among the fashion forward and has been a firm favorite choice on the red carpet for A-list stars. Its vision is to marry traditional artisanal techniques with subversive silhouettes and decadent luxury, focusing on evening wear and demi-couture.

Fall/Winter 2016 collection was called Sky-Dweller, and it was inspired by the Inuit folklore concerning the Aurora borealis. The show at the Faculty of Medicine in Paris, basically presented creatures and spirits of this culture interpolated to demi-couture and eveningwear  pieces. High quality fabrics, a fishtail gown silhouette, laser cutting techniques, tasseled capes, signature boxy jackets and feathers, thousands of them to emphasize the idea of color, spirit and movement, like the Northern lights themselves.
