The Horological Machine No.6 “Space pirate” was designed to perform in the space, but in the Earth it bedazzles. It was conceived by the MB&F team (Maximilian Büsser & Friends) to deal with extreme conditions beyond this planet. The biomorphic case has four spheres capped top and bottom by transparent sapphire crystal domes. A central dome houses a functional 60-second flying tourbillon, the precision regulator of HM6’s Engine.
Actually, this watch was competing in the Grand Prix d’Horlogerie de Genéve in the tourbillon category. You would think it looks like an extraterrestrial item; well, the inspiration to make it comes from a Japanese anime TV series where a spherical spaceship appeared. The titanium used to make it has an aerospace grade. Three years took to develop its engine. Doubtless, an astonishing piece that reinvents horology. Self-winding, 72 hours of power reserve, 30 m waterproof; limited to 50 pieces. Price: 213,900 CHF.
