Valrhona is a French, premium chocolate brand existing since 1922. Located in Tain l´Hermitage (Rhône Valley), it searches and grows the rarest cacaos around the world. The firm specializes in exceptional cacaos and its chocolates are made of raw materials from up to 15 different countries including Venezuela, Dominican Republic or Madagascar. Such top quality makes of Valrhona an ideal brand for gastronomy.


Haute chocolaterie is a usual term while describing Valrhona; even though, probably one of its most relevant contributions is the Guanaja, the bitterest chocolate in the world which this year celebrates 40 years of being released. The cuisine profile of the brand has led to the foundation, in 1989, of the École du Grand Chocolat, an institution to invent, catalogue and preserve all the savoir faire regarding chocolate.



For winter 2016, Valrhona has worked with Maison Christian Lacroix to present a sweet present for Christmas. Three boxes of chocolate delicacies will be available from mid-September; they will include the best cacaos of the brand: Grand Crus Brazil, Guanaja, Tanariva, Dulcey… either as truffles or black chocolate.
