Annagiulia is a young brand created by two young sisters from Florence. Duo is a common format regarding fashion business, and youngness a capital element in this merciless universe called fashion which desperately needs fresh ideas to exist. Joyfully for fashion, many talented new designers try, season after season, moment after moment, to win a spot in this fancy arena.
The brand has just presented at Imoni showroom in Paris its third collection “Lovers of Japan”, a series of garments that follows the design statement of this novel brand: ethereal femininity and international spirit. Giulia, the designer, graduated from Polimoda Fashion Institute in Florence, her CV includes the Rising Star Young designer of the year award in the 2015 Luxury Law Summit.
Being based in Florence, it must be said that the label Made in Italy is well represented, not only because of the excellent handmade work but because of the choice and quality of textiles. FW 17/18 will see a good deal of Japanese references like the reversible Kimonos in wool and silk with fur details in contrast with ethereal gowns with inlays of laces. Colors oscillate from soft panna, girly pink, lemon yellow, light grey, red love, deep purple and unmissable blue. Any resemblance with Uma Thurman in Kill Bill Vol. 1 is just mere coincidence.
