Patuna couture FW 17

Haute couture is back in Paris, and Georgian designer Patuna showed her Fall-Winter couture collection at the trendy Faust. Her proposal merges Gaudi’s organic architecture and Dali’s dreamlike abstraction. Oscillating between rigor and fluidity, silhouettes play the feminine-masculine contrast, and follow the movement of the body. Short hair is a must for this collection that highligts silk, wool, velvet and cotton as main materials.

The color palette ranges from black and pale pink to gray, cardinal violet and white. The designs are dotted with special elements and details dear to the Georgian designer, which punctuate the collection. The knit defines a large part of the looks: skirts, trousers, shorts, which, like «crutches of reality», underlines the oversize jackets. This season will be remembered as the most prolific haute couture season in the last 30 years, and Patuna contributed succesfully to this unexpected fact.
